Whenever you pack for a trip, it can be easy to become overwhelmed and want to pack all your favorite summer outfits “just in case”. While overpacking may not seem like a bad thing on the surface, it can cause you to lose things more easily and have to pay extra baggage fees for clothing you don’t even need. For your next adventure, save on baggage fees by packing smarter not harder, without having to sacrifice style.

Clothes that fit like a glove on vacation (for all the pics!)

As you’re making memories to last a lifetime, it makes sense that you would want to look and feel your best. The best way to make sure you feel comfortable and confident is to make sure you’re bringing clothes that make you feel that way. Leave the pants that are a little too big or the cute shirt that’s a little too tight for comfort at home, as you explore the world you don’t want to have to worry about adjusting your wardrobe as well. Let’s be honest as well, while you may want to give that shirt another go when packing, push comes to shove you’re probably not going to choose to wear it, you’ll gravitate to the clothing that you know makes you feel great. The perfect summer outfit is one that lets you experience the joys of summer in the easiest way possible. Don’t forget to take pictures of all the great moments and fantastic summer outfits to share with friends and family!

Different destinations call for different outfits

While this may seem like a no-brainer, it sometimes is easy to forget the importance of location when you’re hurriedly packing. Take the time to think about each of the activities you’ll be doing. Will you be hiking? Walking for miles through the city? Will it be rainy and chiller or sunny and warm? While it can be difficult to anticipate the weather, you can always use websites that allow you to see the average temperatures from previous years to help you plan out what you’ll need from your trip. Even the cutest summer outfit will sit unworn if it doesn’t fit the weather it needs to. That being said, you don’t have to pack for every single situation, do some research so that you can feel confident about what weather you’ll be facing so that you can make sure you don’t pack things you don’t need.

Travel day outfits

Depending on where your adventure begins, you may find yourself traveling hours on end to get there. If that’s the case, you want to make sure you’re comfortable for the long trip. Make sure to wear something that has lots of pockets so that you can easily store and access important things like your ID, phone, charger, snacks, or any other essentials. Additionally, whatever outfit you choose to wear should be something that you can easily fall asleep in, even if you don’t think you’ll be sleeping during the journey. Picking an outfit easy enough to sleep in will ensure that the outfit is comfy enough to wear the entire day.
